This client relocated from California to an Alexandria townhome constructed in the 1990s. Dissatisfied with the dark stain and the enclosed kitchen with a peninsula, she commissioned us to transform the space. We initiated the renovation by removing the wall that separated the dining room and the kitchen, creating an open layout with the inclusion of a kitchen island, complete with a relocated sink. To elevate the aesthetics and functionality, we installed brand-new quartz countertops and a suite of modern appliances, including a professional-grade gas rangetop and a combination speed microwave/oven. We also refreshed the backsplash with new tile selections.

To optimize storage and convenience, we introduced additional cabinets on the wall opposite the range, providing ample tall storage space and accommodating her integrated Miele coffee machine. Furthermore, we extended the countertop to the right, offering extra workspace.

Our comprehensive renovation project also involved patching in new wood, refinishing all the flooring, and enhancing her fireplace with the addition of a mantle shelf and new quartz material.
